Olivia Phipps is our UK-based Development Executive, having joined Locksmith in March 2020 (just one week before the first COVID-19 lockdown!) They started in TV as part of the Mama Youth Project training programme. This launched Olivia into TV Production, working on award-winning British comedies including Detectorists, Inside No. 9 and Uncle. They are a self-confessed story nerd, with a huge passion for theatre, TV & Film, and the UK live comedy circuit.

In 2019, Olivia won an Edinburgh TV Festival New Voice Award for her short film, Tall Dark Friend with comedian, Jordan Gray, and was shortlisted for the Funny Women Comedy Writing Award in September 2020.

She drinks a huge amount of tea and spends a large chunk of her working day reading and meeting interesting talent. It turns out tea is a necessary partner to all aspects of Olivia’s job. Her favourite animated movie is Chicken Run, and she will happily talk about it on end to anyone who will listen.
