DIRECTOR/PRODUCERS' ASSISTANT AND CENTRAL DIARY CO-ORD (Maternity Cover)

Key Purpose of the Job:
The Director/Producer’s Assistant and Central Diary Co-ordinator (DPADC) is a highly responsible and central role on the production. This person is responsible for controlling the complex and changing needs of the Director and Producers’ day-to-day schedule and acts as the central point of contact for the production calendar and all show departments bidding for the Director/Producers’ time.
Responsibilities:
  • Support all aspects of the Director/Producers’ professional and personal duties.
  • Manage the central diary and the respective Director/Producers’ diaries and ensure that the Director/Producers are able to work effectively and continuously by continuously prioritize competing demands in close collaboration with the show’s production team.
  • Communicate diary changes clearly and efficiently to all relevant parties.  Filter questions and feed to correct departments regarding any information on the show about timings, outages, illness, and holiday, dates and integrating them into show schedule.
  • Maintain excellent relationships with all department supervisors in order to negotiate delays in timings and cancellations.  Understand consequences of any delays and relaying this information at the daily meetings in order to keep everyone abreast of diary conflicts. 
  • Ensure that the Director/Producers are fully prepared for all meetings, including requesting and printing materials, scheduling travel arrangements, booking meeting rooms, cars, and couriers.  Ensure their catering needs are attended to.
  • Communicate to Director/Producers throughout the day any updates and reminding them where they are meant to be and when.
  • Retaining and applying nuances of different technical needs for each meeting, (including which screening rooms/Edits are needed in order to achieve goals), HOD availability, and any other issues which may arise technically or otherwise in order to schedule meetings in at a location and time that suits all these individual needs. 
  • Request and create agendas as needed.
  • Manage materials and printing for pitching sessions, note taking and any other administrative assistance.
  • Oversee the ordering of supplies for the Director/Producers and manage their technical and IT requirements
  • Ensure that Director/Producers meetings start and end on time.
  • Liaise with all departments and animation vendor to co-ordinate calendars across both sites and ensure tasks and travel are scheduled appropriately.
  • Book travel for Director/Producers and other key crew members as requested
  • Organise and co-ordinate alongside other production co-ords, screenings, venues, parties, gifts, and other general production activities.
 
Needs to Be:
Flexible, adaptable, emotionally mature, demonstrate good judgment, planning and organizational skills, stress tolerance, and high energy levels with an excellent attention to detail. The ideal candidate will exhibit high levels of personal responsibility and be keen to take the initiative and problem-solve outside the role. As the first point of contact on the show, it is essential that this person is always friendly, polite, reliable and efficient. They will have a can-do attitude with exceptional organizational and interpersonal skills.
 
The ideal candidate will have 1+ years’ as an Executive or Production PA, will work effectively within and alongside the production team to ensure the smooth running of the show, and will have a working knowledge of CG feature production processes.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Locksmith Animation are looking for a Pipeline Developer, preferably with experience of CG feature animation or computer games development, to be involved in the development of our feature film front-end pipeline. Based in London, and working with other London-based vendors, we are creating high quality CG films in partnership major studios.

As a Pipeline Developer, you will be working on tools, software and workflows
used on our CG animated feature films. You will be developing new tools and scripts— predominantly in Python—to meet the film’s requirements. You will be responsible for the support of these tools as well as making sure they fit into the design paradigm defined by the needs of the studio’s tools. Creating a development environment that has continuity for artists and other pipeline workers will be an important aspect of this job.

As well as being able to demonstrate technical skill and initiative, you will need to be an excellent communicator. Your ability to accurately and succinctly communicate between technical developers and non-technical artists will be an asset in this role.

Responsibilities:
• Develop pipeline and application specific tools in collaboration with senior production and department supervisors.
• Develop with continuity of tools and processes.
• Collaborate in oversight of existing tools and processes for faults or inefficiencies. •
Ensure requests for new tools are connected with company strategy.

Requirements:
• Previous experience as a toolset creator. • Excellent Python and Maya skills.
• Experience in developing tools for Maya.


Preferred Skills:
• Previous experience in Animation, Visual Effects or related industry.
• Experience with source control systems and team development.
• Experience with any of the following: Houdini, Clarisse, Unreal Engine, Shotgun Toolkit, USD, C++, OpenGL
• A degree in Computer Science, Computer Graphics or other, related field.
